Customized Cargo Lift

The relationship between load capacity, lifting height, lifting speed, cylinder diameter, and motor power in a freight elevator.

The choice of cylinders for a double-rail freight elevator depends on its load capacity. For heavier loads, there are typically two options: one thicker cylinder or two thinner cylinders. For example, a 1000kg load capacity freight elevator requires two 70mm diameter cylinders, fixed to the two side rails to power the lifting platform. Alternatively, a single 80mm diameter cylinder can be used, fixed to one side of the guide rail to power the platform. However, to prevent tilting, two safety ropes are usually added to the other side of the platform for leveling.

The lifting speed of the freight elevator platform is directly related to the cylinder diameter and the motor power. For example, using a single 70mm diameter hydraulic cylinder and a 2.2kW motor can achieve an upward speed of 6m/min. However, if an 80mm diameter cylinder is used, or two 70mm diameter cylinders are used, the upward speed will only be 3m/min. To increase the elevator's speed, the motor power can be increased. A single 6kW motor or two 3kW motors can be used. However, higher motor power is not always better, as a higher upward speed will result in a stronger sense of jerking. When designing a freight elevator, it's important to ensure that the upward speed does not exceed 8m/min.
